75 Golden Scissors

Trully talented barber, Peter Christou asked me to do something creative for his Barber Shop, based in Birmingham. He said, "Make something originally different that hasn't been done before."

I visited his beautifully decored shop. The classic look with a man's touch.

The idea came to mind whilst visiting his shop: To recreate the Logo FP into dozens of scissors.

The piece: The wood was actually a pallete, cut to size and painted in a dark oak varnish.

A backdrop shadow of the letters, FP was painted in the centre.

Assembling the scissors into the Logo was done via a soldering iron.

Individually, the scissors were slotted into a burnt slot.

The 75 scissors were painted various times in order to get the sharp gold to stand out.
